The government has announced the winners of the first tranche of Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF) grants.

In the face of increasing international competition for advanced medicines manufacturing, today’s announcements are a positive sign of the government’s commitment to work with industry and make the UK a destination of choice for investors once again. Brian Henry, Chair of the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership

In response to the announcement the Chair of the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership (MMIP), Brian Henry, said:

“In the face of increasing international competition for advanced medicines manufacturing, today’s announcements are a positive sign of the government’s commitment to work with industry and make the UK a destination of choice for investors once again.

“There is a major opportunity to further develop the LSIMF so that the scale and efficiency of the scheme enables the UK to compete for major internationally mobile life sciences investments.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with government to realise this shared ambition.”
